Red Flags: The Making of the Music Video with Ali Hart is a short American documentary film produced, written, and directed by Jake Jakubowski. The documentary is a behind-the-scenes look at the production process of the music video for Red Flags, a song by ALI HART, a singer-songwriter from Bath, Maine. This featurette is Jakubowski's second documentary, following The Mayor: A Chronicle of Williams Syndrome, and was released on July 12, 2024.
Although not the first song ever produced by ALI HART, The song Red Flags was her first major music production, including the filming of a music video to accompany the song.
Plot
The documentary features ALI HART, an emerging musician from Bath, Maine. The film chronicles the behind-the-scenes production of her music video for "Red Flags" over four days. The film starts with ALI gathering weights for camera equipment and talking about how she has a spiritual connection with the rocks, as they are used in sweat lodge ceremonies. Day one starts in Brunswick, Maine at Studio 48 where ALI and her family move a baby grand piano onto a stage in preparation for the video shoot. Day two is located at the Citrus Club in Portland, Maine where Ali talks about the meaning behind the song. Day three takes place in Dresden, Maine where we see the owner of the 1972 SS Chevelle and Day four wraps up in a condo setting in Bath, Maine filming a restaurant and dancing scene.

Film Quotes
- "We get served Red Flags throughout all our lives, and we choose to ignore them. The song is called Red Flags and I'd like to describe it as if Stevie Nix and Prince had a baby, it has a combination of both there sounds, going for that late 70's early 80's vibe. I'm receiving Red Flags all along the way, but I'm also choosing to ignore them or doubting myself because I want, what I want and I not wanting what I'm actually seeing."
- "This whole song is about empowering our intuition. Sometimes we're hyper-vigilant about Red Flags and we all owe it to each other to give a certain amount of Red Flag exemptions but when they start adding up after a certain point, we really need to reconsider what's going on, for our own safety and empowerment."
